The aboriginal word for home or place on a hill, Illalangi Gourmet Foods embraces its name in every sense, providing a range of quality and unique wine, food and gourmet products which are available to you from their welcoming and well stocked store, located atop the cliffs at Waikerie.
Established in 2010 by Keryn and John Gorman, Illalangi was the culmination of many years of horticulture experience and a belief that the Riverland Region offered the best place in Australia to grow clean and green products.
Originally from NSW, both Keryn and John took the leap to the Riverland in 1990 and started their own property with a Petit Verdot vineyard and later an olive grove, which established the basis for Illalangi Gourmet Foods to grow from.
Established in 2010, Illalangi Gourmet Foods brings together the couple’s passion for horticulture, quality food and wine and the Riverland all in the one place. Their store embraces all of the elements of a warm and welcoming home filled with a bounty of the Riverland’s finest foods. Here you can taste their quality olives, oil and tapenade, dukka, relishes and preserves, their delightful caramelised wattle seed balsamic and more.
For the sweet tooth or for those looking for a locally produced gift, you could try the deconstructed fruit cake or bliss ball mix or enjoy a gourmet hamper out the back in Keryn’s native herb garden with its sweeping views of the Murray River.
With an ‘eat local’ philosophy, Keryn and John make and source products and produce locally either from their own farm or within a 100 mile radius to ensure you are tasting the very best of the Riverland region.
